Ever want the insider’s scoop about Bobby’s Room at the Bellagio? Well, look no further than this interview with Bellagio’s tournament director Jack McCelland. In this video, he talks about the history of Bobby’s Room, how it was made and how it was named after World Series of Poker Main Event champion, Bobby Baldwin.
Only the exclusive few can get inside Bobby’s Room, which is located inside the Bellagio poker room, guarded by personnel 24/7. It’s the goal of every aspiring high stakes player to play in the games in this legendary room, which hosts some of the biggest cash games in the history of poker. It’s completely decked out and fashionably decorated, paying tribute to some of the biggest names in history, specifically Bobby Baldwin, who won the Main Event in 1978. Noted artist LeRoy Neiman decorated the room with a large painting which has the likes of Baldwin and poker icon Doyle Brunson playing a hand. Inside this room are only a few tables, which provides maximum privacy and exclusivity to the games.
Bobby’s Room hosts the highest buy-in cash poker games in the world, with all games sporting a minimum buy-in of $20,000. The room is available 24 hours of the day and if no games are running, the room will accommodate even a heads-up match if two players are willing. From there, on-site staff will look to fill the game at players’ requests.
