Born on April 9, 1979 in San Antonio, Lacey Jones’ parents divorced when she was seven, and when her father moved away to Las Vegas, she remained with her mother and sister in Texas. She got her start in poker during summer vacations at the family home in North Carolina, where they often played various card games to pass the time. Initially though, poker was just her hobby.
Tall, blond, and extremely pretty, Lacey is the definition of a model and had her first job at age 10. By the time she was 16 she had modeling offers in Japan and Hong Kong, but turned them down to go to school. She attended the University of Arizona to study French and Political Science. During her college years, Lacey not only tended bar for extra money, she also sought out any poker home game she could find and honed her skills at the expense of her fellow classmates.
Upon graduating, Lacey moved to Los Angeles to continue her modeling career, which was an immediately successful decision. Over the last decade, she has modeled for Nike Golf, St. John, and Carolina Herrera, and also been the face of advertising campaigns for Panasonic, Sony, and Chrysler. Additionally, she has appeared in a Coors Light commercial and had small roles in TV shows The O.C. and Entourage.
On the felt, Lacey’s development increased exponentially when she was picked up by Absolute Poker to be one of their sponsored pros. The agreement included coaching from professional player Mark Seif, which was intended to advance her game enough that she would feel comfortable playing in the World Series of Poker. In 2005, she did just that and by 2006, she had her first WSOP cash – 75th in the $1K Ladies event for $9K.
In the aftermath of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act, Absolute Poker was forced to dismiss their lineup of pros, including Lacey. Fortunately, it didn’t take her long to land on her feet, and she was hired as official hostess and bracelet presenter of the WSOP. She also served as hostess of the U.S. Poker Bowl for Fox Sports, and the Borgata Poker Open. Additionally, Lacey has been featured in publications like Poker Player Magazine, Wicked Chops Poker, and Woman Poker Player.
Away from the table and runway, Lacey Jones enjoys speaking French, playing mahjong, working out, and spending time with her family and friends.
