As the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Circuit National Championship draws near, Caesars Entertainment has released the new schedule for the 2013-2014 WSOP Circuit. It has grown to a record 22 events with three new venues added to the tour.
The state of Ohio makes its debut on the WSOP Circuit next season with two stops: Horseshoe Cincinnati September 19-30, 2013 and Horseshoe Cleveland March 20-31, 2014. Also added to the tour is Casino Montreal, which will host a Circuit stop November 14-25, 2013.
Once again, the season will end with the National Championship, though it will move from New Orleans to Caesars Atlantic City. A total of 100 players will qualify for the WSOP Circuit National Championship: the 22 winners of the Main Event at each stop, the 22 “casino champions,” who are the players who earn the most points at each Circuit stop, the top 50 points earners during the entire season, and 6 qualifiers from an online tournament from an anticipated WSOP.com internet poker room in New Jersey. The winner of the National Championship will receive a WSOP gold bracelet.
