888 has agreed to power the PokerDomePoker.com website, which is owned and operated by the Australia-based PokerDome Group.
Gigi Levy, chief executive of 888, said: “We are excited to partner with an innovative and diverse poker operator such as PokerDome. We recognize PokerDome’s expertise as an offline operator and look forward to serving their customers in the online environment. PokerDome have a close association with two World Series of Poker bracelet winners, so we expect a mutually successful relationship.”
The PokerDome Group is a Sydney-based company that operates five poker rooms throughout Sydney and New South Wales. PokerDome Group Hong Kong Limited stunned the poker world in 2007 when it announced the first ever poker room in Macau. The Diamond Casino within the Holiday Inn opened for business in late November 2007.
PokerDome Group also runs the Oz Poker Tour. Founded in 2005, Oz Poker Tour commenced business as a poker information and news portal, focusing mainly on reporting on the happenings in pub and club venues where poker is played in Australia. Today, Oz Poker Tour hosts over 60 events per week in NSW alone, and is now operating in South Australia as well. The new PokerDomePoker brand will aim to complement the group’s offline poker events and enhance its members’ poker playing experience.
