The 2010 PokerStars Spring Championship of Online poker came to a close last night the Main Event crowned a H, M, and L champion.
The $10K High-Stakes Main Event attracted $615 players and a ridiculous $6.15 million prize-pool. At the end of Day 2, Ryan “totagU” Fair finally claimed victory and a a cool $1.1 million. Kristoffer “Sumpas” Thorsson lost the heads-up battle and consoled himself with $851K, while Brad “BradL” Lipson took third for $627K. The rest of the final table was rounded out by Greg “DuckU” Hopson ($473K), Danny “cpfactor” Smith ($332K), BongBob ($261K), Sam “siola” Siola ($199K), Joe “jpmetalman” Patrick ($138K), and Ben “delaney_kid” Delaney ($94K).
In the $1K Mid-Stakes Main Event, 3,675 entrants showed up to generate a $3.6 million prize-pool. When the final table reached three-handed, the remaining players made a deal; Mr.M.M0ney took $443K, cooperzo311 got $448K, and Athanasios 9 settled for $418K. The other final tablists were 888_OCTV ($211K), NOREFUNDS42 ($156K), rage4order ($119K), hook2120 ($82K), cashclctor ($46K), KJulius ($29K).
Last but not least, the $100 Low-Stakes Main Event got 19,188 runners and a huge $1.9 million prize-pool. When the dust settled, midjat emerged victorious to the tune of $191K. Quitti33 lost the heads-up match and consoled himself with $142K, while B18GsrR took $95K for third. The final table also included Grodindono ($76K), aakkari ($57K), pmahoney22 ($38K), MikeTBH ($26.9K), iFROST ($17K), and Elpinto54 ($11.5K).
All PokerStars will now turn their attention to the World Series of Poker, which starts on May 29th.
