As always, PokerStars was full of action this past weekend, with scores of players showing up to try to win life-changing money. Numbers were slightly down across the board, probably in part because of the weekend tournaments at the World Series of Poker, but there was still plenty of money to be won.
First on the schedule was the Sunday Warm-Up, which garnered 3,965 entrats and a $793K prize-pool. When all was said and done, bullyon and trionojnika made a heads-up chop, taking $114K and $103K, respectively. The rest of the final table was rounded out by Showťime ($65.5K), ginofluit (45.5K), ValueH (33.7K), bluffdeez503 ($25.7K), CHRISCCC ($17.8K), Jeremysl98 ($10K), and Sunny220v ($6K).
Later on, 7,309 platers registered for PokerStars’ flagship tournament, the Sunday million. Three players ended up making a deal, leaving $30K on the table for the winner. When the dust cleared, Bear4arms emerged victorious, adding $204K to his PokerStars account. General Tso0 settled for second and $159K, while APowers1968 grabbed third for $147K. The rest of the final tablers were Michel1077 ($79.5K), G8vMyLfeAway ($61.5K), axn87 ($46.5K), slamjakmyb ($32K), Illini213 ($18K), and AceQuad ($11.5K).
Last on the slate was the Sunday 500, which attracted 944 players and a $500K prize-pool. At the end of the day, troster16 claimed victory and $90K. DreamOnDream lost the heads-up battled and consoled himself with $64K, while Prometheus R took third for $48K. The rest of the final table included joaoMathias ($36.6K), doulas12 ($25K), njw11 ($20K), YanniYankiev ($15K), BUCKIZ6 ($10K), and thewh00sel ($6K).
