It has been less than two weeks and the second durrrr challenge is already over 10% completed. There is no doubt that the progress is much better than the first challenge which is between Tom “durrrr” Dwan and Patrik Antonius. That one has been running for over 19 months now.
Recapping the fundamental rules of the challenge which are:
In the first session between the two players logged 5,862 hands and after taking a early hit, Jungleman12 bounced back to log a massive $518,190 win. In the second session which was much shorter the two logged 958 hands and Jungleman12 had another profit of $172,954.
One of the most interesting hands that has taken place so far had Jungleman12 from the small blind raising to $1,200. durrrr 3bet to $3,600 and Jungleman12 called. At the start of the hand Jungleman12 had around $60,000 on the table and durrrr had a little over $80,000. The flop was 5d 5s 4d, creating straight and flush possibilities. durrrr led out with a continuation bet of $4,800 into a pot of $7,200 and Jungleman12 called. The Ah fell on the turn, and durrrr fired again this time putting $11,200 into the $16,800 pot, with Jungleman12 calling again. By the time the river came there were already $39,200 in the middle. The river was Qc and durrrr fired his final bullet, going all-in for $62,777. Jungleman12 called, creating a final pot of $122,378. durrrr flipped over 3d8d for a busted flush draw and Jungleman12 turned As10s for the winning hand.
This is just one of the exciting hands in the second durrrr challenge, and judging by the way these two pros play and the stakes involved we are sure there will be many more like this.
Poker News Daily will be following all of the durrrr challenge and reporting on the high stakes action as it takes place.
