Taylor Caby is the head instructor at CardRunners and a legend in Heads Up online poker circles. In this exclusive match-up that can only be seen here at Poker News Daily, he goes head-to-head against our own Sean Gibson at a Sit & Go of No Limit Hold’em. At stake is a prop bet between the two – if Gibson wins, then Caby is required to appear on camera for an appearance on a PND news show. If Caby wins, then Gibson has to dress up in as much CardRunners gear as he can and tape an entire show wearing said gear.
Taylor Caby, known also as “Green Plastic” and “Tay” online, originally started playing $5 Sit & Gos and moved his way up to playing in $50/$100 Heads Up cash games online. After conquering the online poker world, he decided to start an online training site with some associates, which is now known as CardRunners. Caby started as one of the lead instructors on the site and his training videos are responsible for scores of players being able to turn around their games and in some cases, become professional poker players.
Although Caby does not regularly make training videos and focused more on the business side of CardRunners, he was gracious enough to participate in this heads up match and capture it himself while providing commentary. This video gives some fantastic insight into the mind of one of the legends of online poker and how he approaches a match against an admittedly bad heads up player. Even though both admit they are playing just for fun and for the prop bet, both show a bit of their competitive sides during the match.
