The quarter-year mark is approaching, and with it comes an inevitability: another Full Tilt Online Poker Series (FTOPS). Sure enough, Full Tilt Poker has released the schedule for FTOPS XXVIII (Twenty-eight! And it would have been more had the former executives at the site not been crooks and led to Full Tilt disappearing for a while after Black Friday). The internet poker festival will run for 15 days beginning Sunday, March 15th and ending on Sunday, March 29th. A month full of postseason college basketball and poker. Good times, good times.
Most of the usual trappings are included in FTOPS XXVIII, including special prizes for players who reach any of the series’ final tables. Those who accomplish said feat will receive a limited editions FTOPS jacket, while event winners will get the jacket, an FTOPS jersey, and a gold jersey FTOPS avatar for use at Full Tilt’s virtual tables.
Full Tilt Poker is also giving away five free seats into the $1,000 FTOPS XXVIII Main Event. It won’t be easy to win one, but they do exist. Each day from March 2nd through March 27th, Full Tilt Poker will host one Main Event Freeroll. The top 100 finishers in each will get a spot in the Main Event Freeroll Finale, to be held on March 28th. The top five finishers in that tournament will win the Main Event tickets.
Then there is the Satellite Hero promotion. Everyone who cashes in an FTOPS event in which they earned their seat via satellite will receive a ticket in an FTOPS Satellite Hero Freeroll, held on April 4th. Those two cash twice will receive a MiniFTOPS Main Event ticket. Anyone who cashes three or four times gets the MiniFTOPS Main Event seat PLUS T$50, and those who cash five times or more get the MiniFTOPS Main Event ticket and T$100.
The FTOPS Leaderboard also returns, as one would expect. The top four finishers at the end of FTOPS will win a four-month Black Card Pro Sponsorship, the main attraction of which is 100 percent rakeback.
