PokerStars will be running its monthly $1 Million Guaranteed Turbo Takedown tournament this Sunday, July 26th at 2:30pm EST.
Players will fight it out for their share of the $1 Million dollars in guaranteed money, putting up only their PokerStars Frequent Player Points as an entry fee. Those who wish to participate can satellite in for as little as 10 FPPs, or they can buy-in directly for 2,000 FPPs. Regardless of the entry method, the top prize remains a juicy $40,000.
This month the tournament has a unique feature that incorporates the Team PokerStars Pros: all of the Team PokerStars Pros that play in the tournament will have a cash bounty on their head for anyone that knocks them out of the tournament. While bounty tournaments have been done before, PokerStars has developed a new system where the cash prize for a bounty is directly related to the registration date: the bounty money increases by $20 for every day between registration and the actual tournament. For example, if you register on the day of the tournament, you will receive $20 for every Pro you knock out; but if you register the day before, you will receive $40. This should definitely encourage early registration to maximize value for the players.
