Leading gaming software provider Cryptologic has joined global fraud-fighting community Ethoca in a bid to make online gaming safer for all.
According to the press release issued by both companies, Ethoca will liaise directly with WagerLogic, the Cryptologic division that licenses the company’s popular gaming software. This new partnership will enable WagerLogic to accept more types of deposits while increasing protection for its players and licensees.
Cryptologic is one of the main names in gaming software: the Dublin-based software company has been in the online gaming industry for over a decade, and has earned the highest accolades including winning Gambling Online Magazine’s Top Casino Software Award three years in a row. Its subsidiary, WagerLogic, licenses Cryptologic’s software to online casinos and poker rooms including heavyweights William Hill and 888.com. According to their press release, “WagerLogic has processed more than US$54 billion in secure electronic transactions for over 2.5 million players worldwide.” It is clear that any company with such large transactions is bound to be especially interested in keeping fraud to a minimum or eliminating it altogether.
WagerLogic’s Managing Director, Antony Demetriades, explained the company’s motivation to enter this partnership with Ethoca:

They seem to have found an ideal partner in Ethoca. By using this pool of collective data, Ethoca’s clients are in a better position to make decisions about customer transactions and thus “maximize profits by minimizing the number of wrongly rejected orders.”
