Day 1B ended with Norwegian player Marius Heine in the chip lead with 162,700 and he certainly hopes his luck will extend into day two of the tournament. The event in Prague has grown into one of the biggest tournaments on the EPT schedule, with a total of 586 players entered the tournament this year generated a total prize pool that exceeded $2.6 million. The last man or woman standing will be enjoying the holidays with a $632K bonus.

Some of the players who had a great day 1B and will be returning to the tables with healthy chip stacks are: PokerStars pro Jude Ainsworth, Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier, Andrew Eiler, Rifat Palevic, Luca Pagano, Stefan Mattson, Tomas MacNamara, Antony Lellouche, and Rasmus Nielsen.

But just like in any tournament, some of the pros busted out on their first day and won’t be returning. The list of early casualties includes Dario Minieri, Ilari Sahamies, Michael Tureniec, Boris Becker, William Thorson, Johnny Lodden, Carter Phillips and Salvatore Bonavena.

One of the most interesting tables during of day two features PokerStars pros ElkY, Marcel Luske and Arnaud Mattern; their aggressive styles are sure to cause some fireworks. All three players head into play with top ten stacks.

Day two has also brought some upsets for the pros, Katja Thater, JP Kelly, Alex Kravchenko are probably on their way to their home right now. JP Kelly couldn’t believe his eyes when he had all his chips at the center of the table with Ah-Kc,while his opponent in the hand was the PokerStars player Bastian Trachte who held Ad-Kd.  The flop brought 6s-Qc-3d which made the players think that it would be a chopped pot, but unfortunately for JP Kelly two more diamonds hit on the turn and river and the flush ended his tournament life.
