Everest Poker offered something that all poker players in the world desire: a sponsorship from a poker room. Everest Poker believes in creating new opportunities for normal players, thus they offered $100K sponsorship deals to 10 lucky winners. A total of two hundred players qualified for the promotion, and he elimination process involved live tournaments and cash games as well as interviews done by the poker room and celebrities from the poker community.
The players who won the sponsorship will be representing Everest Poker at the major tournaments around the world. Some of the things taken in consideration when picking the ten sponsored players were: online and live poker skills and general attitude towards the game.
The wait is finally over and Everest Poker has announced the ten lucky winners. Here is a brief overview for each player:
DannyMcCoy: a twenty-three year old student that started playing poker four years ago. Since then he has mixed his time between studying and playing online poker at Everest.
Garrincho54: a young French player that started playing poker three years ago. He recently graduated from college but has decided to try to become a poker pro.
Tobestar11: a twenty six year old, German player that started playing poker in ’06.
Spadesman: he started playing poker with friends when he was 14 years old and has been playing poker at Everest for five years.
Schumyfab: a German Financial Advisor that started playing No Limit Hold’em poker just four years ago.
Leoledingo: he plays poker mainly at casinos around France but gave online poker a chance and has been playing at Everest Poker for the past four years.
SexyGirl: a Website Manager who poker player as well, SexyGirl was born in Hungary and has played poker for many years. She will focused mainly on tournaments during 2010.
Koendb: he started playing poker in ’05 and has moved across all the table limits at Everest Poker.
TheBigViking: a twenty three year old Norwegian teacher that has plenty of experience in live tournaments as well as online.
Elflacokanu: student and poker player, he has been playing poker for the past four years with pretty good success.
