On a Sunday where an hour of time simply disappeared, PokerStars didn’t experience any ill-effects; quite the opposite, actually, as a whopping 9687 players registering for the Sunday Million, sending the prize-pool soaring past the $1.5 million guarantee all the way to $1.9 million. When all was said and done, Highway51 emerged victorious, bagging $271K for his efforts. No chop took place at the final table, which saw popimaiorca take second for $197K, while Soltari84 cashed in third for $139K. The rest of the final table was rounded out by rakeinfools ($96.5K), THE CUBE ($77K), jfyjfy6 ($58K), SingleFileD ($38.7K), Snort4eva ($19K), and Klauss8s ($13K).
Earlier in the day, 4594 runners turned out for the Sunday Warm-Up, which pushed the prize-pool to $918K. When play finally got heads-up, the two remaining players, lu_tricolor and CallMeIdiot, made a chip-chop that guaranteed them $120.5K apiece, with $10K still on the table. Brazilian lu_tricolor ended up winning the heads-up clash to take the extra $10K and become the official Sunday Warm-Up Champion. The rest of the final table consisted of Mur917 ($75.8K), King 2307 (($51.9K), 1-ronnr3 ($39K), emiwarg ($29.8K), F3dOrOv9191 ($20K), Mollpan ($11.4K), and minisune ($7.3K).
