While they don’t get the trafffic of PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker, Absolute Poker does boast a lot to like. First, they have a great slate of daily guaranteed tournaments, which are often filled with bad players. Additionally, while bigger sites run tournaments that are essentially minefields, Absolute Poker actually gets manageable field sizes that have more value.
First on the schedule at 1:30pm is a $2.20 $1K GTD No Limit Hold’em tourney, followed by a $11 $1500 No Limit Hold’em event an hour later. At 3pm, there’s a $6K GTD $66 No Limit Hold’em affair and then at 4pm, Absolute Poker runs a $4K GTD Deep Stack event with a $44 buy-in. A $1.5K GTD 6Max event with a $16.50 buy-in takes place at 6pm along with a $15K GTD $55 Rebuy tournament. At 8:30pm on Tuesdays there’s a $75K GTD $530 Deep Stack tournament, which then switches to a $150K GTD $1050 Deep Stack event on Wednesdays.
As with all the other sites, Sundays bring the biggest action to Absolute Poker with a number of special guaranteed tournaments. Things kick off at 2pm with a $100K GTD Deep Stack event with a buy-in of $530. Absolute Poker’s version of a Sunday Major takes place two hours later in the form of a $200K GTD $215 No Limit Hold’em event. At 4:35pm, an $11 low stakes tournament called The Dime goes off with a $10K guarantee. Things start to wind down at 5:30 with a $35K GTD $109 tourney. To cap off the evening, Absolute Poker runs a $50K GTD 6Max event with a $530 buy-in.
