On the Daily Deal, we will talk about the last episode of Poker2Nite, congratulate Carbon Poker on its dramatic traffic increase, and get the latest news from the Ladies International Poker Series.
Hello, I’m Sean Gibson and welcome to the Daily Deal by Poker News Daily, brought to you by PokerSource.com.
This week’s episode of “Poker2Nite” featured Former “Celebrity Poker Showdown” host Kevin Pollak and “Inglourious Basterds” star Samm Levine. Host Scott Huff also expressed his disappointment in the current favorites for the World Series of Poker Tournament of Champions, which lacks Internet and European pros. Instead, the top 20 features names like T.J. Cloutier, Howard Lederer, and Sammy Farha.
After Players Only and Sportsbook.com joined the Merge Gaming Network last week, Carbon Poker’s traffic has skyrocketed. Carbon Poker’s Marketing Director, Ian Williams, told Poker News Daily: “I was conservatively predicting a rise of around twenty percent. In fact, we are seeing increases of over 100% in daily ring rake and almost 200% in tournament traffic.” Network-wide, cash game traffic on Merge has more than doubled over the last week. Traffic should continue to grow with the upcoming move of Lock Poker.
When we return, what is the Ladies International Poker Series up to these days?

The two-day event will take place on September 4th and 5th at the Golden Nugget in Downtown Las Vegas and have a buy-in of $500+$50.
