Just like the WSOP has a popular Media Event every year, Bodog is hosting its own version by inviting all poker bloggers to apply for an entry into the Bodog Poker Blogger tournament.
The tournament is open to any poker bloggers or owners of legitimate gaming or sports-related blogs, and the dates for the event will be set depending on how many bloggers enroll. Players are invited to apply for enrollment as soon as possible – after they have been approved and qualified they will receive a notification from Bodog; and after registration is complete the dates for the tournaments will be announced. It is expected that the tournaments will take place sometime in September.
Entry into the Bodog Poker Blogger tournament will only cost $10 + $1, making it accessible to all bloggers, and events will run every Tuesday night at 9:05 ET. Updates from the tournaments will appear in the Bodog Beat.
Last year’s crowned champion was “TonySoprano”, who defeated “wilwonka” heads up for $2,000 in cash, $100 in online credit and bragging rights for a year. This year’s Poker Blogger tournament will also feature special guests and bounty players, offering a chance to win added cash prizes.
