Bodog Poker, a site that is trying to break back into the market following a significant loss of traffic after the UIGEA, recently unveiled a new software update. The details of the update can be found below, as per Bodog Poker’s press release:
1. Flaming Hands for Good Hands: When a player gets a flush or better, the winning player will see the winning cards with flames.
2. Hand for Hand when Approaching the Bubble in Scheduled Tournaments: When the players are next to the bubble, the tournament enters ‘hand-for-hand’ more so that all tables must complete before the next hand begins to ensure fairness of play. The rule is that from the bubble + one player (the last player BEFORE the first payout), the tournament will enter hand for hand mode. Once the bubble has been entered, for the moment, hand for hand will be discontinued.
3. Auto Check when players timeout or get disconnected (Cash and Tournaments): When players timeout in a hand (Cash or Tournament), the hand they timeout in will get checked down until there is a bet/raise or the hand gets to showdown.
Cash Games: If the player does not act by clicking the ‘rejoin’ button in the overlay as per below while they are being auto-checked, the will be ‘checked’ unless there is a bet/raise in front until showdown. If the player is folded, they must return to the game as normal by un-checking the sit-out out checkbox.
Tournaments: If the player does not act by clicking the ‘rejoin’ button while they are being auto-checked, the will be ‘checked’ unless there is a bet/raise in front until showdown. If the player is folded, they must return to the game as normal by un-checking the auto-fold checkbox.
