On Friday, online poker room Bodog released additional details about its second Bodog Poker Open, which begins on Sunday. As part of the event, 19 Bodog celebrities will have bounties placed on their heads in select tournaments. In addition, the site announced that it is offering “insurance” to the two bubble players in each of the seven championship events. The series culminates with a $500 buy-in Main Event on Sunday, October 5th.
The Bodog Poker Open II consists of 14 events in total. Six of them are bounty tournaments that award $109 in tournament credits for each featured player knocked out. Those credits can then be used to satellite into the Main Event via a $109 tournament that runs every night at 9:20pm ET. Here are the 19 players that everyone will be gunning for in those tournaments. They include all four members of Team Bodog Pro plus many of the past Poker Open winners and site celebrities:

In addition, according to the press release, two players on the bubble in each of the seven “championship” events (that is, not a bounty tournament or the Main Event) will also take home an entry into a Main Event satellite. Winners of each of the seven championship events will receive $109 in credits to use towards the satellite. All told, the tournament series is shaping up to be extremely competitive, especially with over $650,000 in guaranteed prize money up for grabs.
The first two events of the Bodog Poker Open II kick off on Sunday:

In addition, the first of six bounty tournaments will take place on Sunday afternoon, pitting Bodog users against some of the 19 featured players:
BPO II Kickoff Bounty Tournament: 2:00pm ET
No Limit Hold’em
$100 + $9 buy-in
$5,000 added to the prize pool
We’ll have updates from Bodog all throughout the Bodog Poker Open II. The site is one of the few that accepts players from the United States. Although it’s primarily known for its sports book, Bodog runs a $100,000 Guaranteed every Sunday. It has a buy-in of $109 and sees an overlay nearly every single week.
