Cake Poker is giving out large guaranteed prizes this weekend: from $15,000 today through $250,000 tomorrow and up to $1,000,000 to be won at the English Poker Open.
Today at 3pm ET the $15,000 Guaranteed Bounty tournament will take place, with a buy-in of only $55. This is an unusual tournament because every player has a bounty of $15 on their head, which is taken out of their buy-in. This way, even players who don’t make it to the money stand to win something if they knock others off.
Sunday will be a big day at Cake Poker. Players may aim at a seat in the English Poker Open through two satellites: the $55 semi-final running at 1 am ET, and the final English Poker Open Qualifier, which starts at 4 pm ET and offers $7,000 prize packages for a $268 buy-in. Players who win seats into the English Poker Open will vie for their share of a $1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool. But the big fish of the day will be the $250,000 Guaranteed, beginning at 5pm ET with a $268 buy-in. Those who prefer to enter on the cheap can try to win a seat in the $55 semi-final satellite at 2pm ET.
