Cake Poker announced this past Friday that their players had been having connection problems, and that their technicians discovered that disconnection problems were caused by an external factor that was definitely affecting the connection between their software platform and their players.
They recently released a new software update that will most likely help to fix the connection problems. But Cake Poker has not mentioned anything else about the issue, apart from canceling all tournament event action beyond September 4th.
After installing the new software update it looks like Cake Poker has enabled the tournaments. There are several tournaments scheduled for today as well as satellite events to those tourneys.
The first big guaranteed tourney is a $17.5K where re-buys and add-ons will be allowed. The nightly $10K will have a buy-in of $50 + $5 and it’s a freezeout event.
Since Cake Poker has not said anything about their tournament events being reinstated, players should contact their customer service to confirm that the tournaments currently available in the lobby will actually be played out.
