Carbon Poker, part of the Merge Gaming Network, will be increasing the purse in its weekly guaranteed tournament on Sunday for one week only.
Carbon Poker’s popular $50,000 Guaranteed No Limit Hold’em tournament will double its prize pool when it runs this Sunday, February 27th. The tournament, which has a buy-in of $109, will also be a rebuy event, with players eligible to receive two additional rebuys and one add-on to help their cause.
“We are attracting a vast amount of interest since the announcement of our $100K Guaranteed Tournament,” Atil Singh, Head of Acquisition of Carbon Poker told Poker News Daily. “Four weeks ago, we increased our $50,000 Guaranteed to $75,000 and surpassed the guaranteed prize pool, which reached $88,000. I wouldn’t expect anything less this week and, as interest grows, players should expect to see similar prize pools become a part of our Sunday lineup. We are attracting multi-table tournament specialists from major sites competing in our largest weekly tournaments, so it seems many players are now adding our Sunday guaranteed tournaments to their weekend grind.”
To promote the change, Carbon Poker is offering a special tournament where players can get their $109 buy-in for free, the 100 Seats to $100K Freeroll.
From now until the start of the freeroll on Saturday afternoon, players must earn 500 VIP Points on the site’s wealth of cash games, tournaments, and sit and gos. A special counter will be available for players to track their VIP Points through their administrative tab.
If a player earns the requisite 500 VIP Points, then the Carbon Poker software will activate the “Register” button for the special freeroll. The 100 Seats to $100K Freeroll will offer the final 100 survivors a $109 coupon that can be used to enter the $100,000 guaranteed tournament the following day.
In addition to the one-time increase in its $50,000 Guaranteed Freezeout, Carbon Poker is offering players several promotions that will add cash to their bankrolls. The Carbon Poker Super Money Tree promotion will end next Monday. If you’ve never heard of the promo, it gives players cash for the VIP Points that they’ve earned during February. There are three different levels that players can achieve to maximize their earnings.
First, a player must go to their administrative page and activate the “Money Tree” button to have their VIP Points monitored by the site. Through playing in cash games, tournaments, and sit and gos, players can then start accumulating VIP Points and growing their Money Trees. At the end of the month, Carbon Poker will calculate the number of VIP Points earned and give players a cash reward.
A minimum of 100 VIP Points must be achieved to qualify for an “Earning Day” and Carbon Poker will give a player $1 for every 75 Points they earn over five qualifying days. For players who reach 10 qualifying days of over 175 VIP Points, Carbon Poker will dole out $1 for every 55 VIP Points that they earn. If a player reaches 20 qualifying days of over 250 VIP Points, Carbon Poker will give out $1 for every 25 VIP Points earned. There is no limit to how much free money a player can earn; it is completely dependent on how many VIP Points are accumulated in February.
