Dennis Phillips is known as one of the nicest guys in the poker industry, always wearing his signature St. Louis Cardinals baseball hat and a pair of jeans. He’s the everyday guy who had the normal job who found himself as the chip leader going into the 2008 World Series of Poker Main Event in the first group of November Nine players. He eventually finished in third place, won millions of dollars and then followed it up the next year at the Main Event with another deep run.
Phillips joins our own Bernard Lee for a special sit-down interview where we get to know the man behind the poker player. This is part one of a two part interview with Phillips.
Bernard Lee is the official spokesperson for Foxwoods Casino and is also co-host of ESPN’s Inside Deal as well as a correspondent and writer for Poker News Daily.
