Know as “The-Toilet” online, Faraz Jaka is a rising poker superstar from San Jose, California. Getting his start online in his Freshman year of college, Jaka honed his game by playing a few nights a week while balancing his class workload.

A PocketFives.com Triple Crown winner, Jaka had a remarkable online run in 2007 when he won UB.com’s $200K Guarantee and PokerStars’ Sunday Warm-Up in back-to-back weeks for more than $110K. In August of that year, Jaka took down Full Tilt Poker’s $1K Monday for $85K and followed that up by winning the Sunday Mulligan a few months later. In November of 2009, he picked up another huge score, shipping the PokerStars $1K Super Tuesday for $78K. Jaka also has victories in Absolute Poker’s $150K Guarantee and PokerStars’ Nightly Hundred Grand.

Even though Jaka’s online results are extremely impressive, they still pale in comparison to his live tournament record. In 2008, he entered the fray with a victory in a $1K L.A. Poker Classic event, which was good for $104K. A year later, he cashed in four World Series of Poker events, including third in the $5K No Limit Six-Max event for $400K. Then he really raked it in when he made two World Poker final tables; second at the Bellagio Cup for $774K and third at the Doyle Brunson Five Diamond World Poker Classic for $571K. All told, Jaka has more than $3 million in tournament poker earnings.

A talent of the highest level, Faraz Jaka will be a feared opponent at the tables for years to come. Away from poker, his hobbies include basketball, dancing, intellectually stimulating conversations, love, thinking about life, constantly changing and refining his beliefs, meeting new people, and traveling. His favorite place is anywhere he hasn’t been, and if he could change one thing about the poker world, he would teach good etiquette to poker players so that a few bad seeds don’t put out a bad name for the rest.
