Yesterday was the first Big Money Sunday of the year and it had four tournaments that captured the attention of thousands of players. In addition to the regular Sunday tournaments, the first Big Little Tournament was played and it received a great turnout as over 46K players registered for the $5 buy-in tournament and a total of seventy-five hundred made it to the money. Some poker pros also entered the tournament and one of them had an incredible performance, Karina Jett finished in 28th position which is quite impressive due to the large field of players.
One of the regular Sunday tournaments at Full Tilt, the $200K guaranteed re-buy event, captured the attention of some poker pros which increased the level of competition in the tournament. The Red Pro Erica Schoenberg had a remarkable performance and managed to take the third place prize for $30K. Other pros that made it to the top positions where: Ryan “ryanghall” Hall, Dutch “Dutchalicious” Boyd and Jon “Pearljammer” Turner.
The Sunday Brawl had 2,877 entries for a total prize pool that exceeded $575K. The first four places in the tournament made a deal and the last man standing at the end was NudelTofu for $81K, JCTurn was the runner-up for $64K and whitehorse5 was the third place finisher for $77K.
A total of eleven thousand seven hundred and ninety players entered the $200K Double Deuce which created a $235K prize pool. After several hours of intense play Mr_Ingvarr was the last man standing for a total of $31K and his opponent in the heads-up match, bucdotcom, cashed for $29K.
The largest prize pool at stake this weekend had a total of four thousand two hundred and seventy-one players fighting to take home a percentage of the $854K that was on the line. In the end, metfan4590 outplayed all his opponents to take down the first place prize of $123K. The runner-up was medijun for $118K and the third place finisher was Str8Forward for $59K.
