The tenth chapter of the Full Tilt Online Poker Series (FTOPS) will get underway Wednesday evening with a $200 Six-Max No Limit Hold’em event. It is the first of 25 tournaments that make up a total guaranteed prize pool of more than $15 million put up by Full Tilt, which has been running the series since August 2006.
Like all of its previous editions, tournaments will be hosted by a Full Tilt red pro. Mike Matusow will host Event #1, while several other familiar faces including Gus Hansen (Event #9), Roland deWolfe (Event #10), Jennifer Harmon (Event #13) and Isaac Baron (Event #16) will have their names attached to events.
Kevin “GetPWN3D” Saul will attempt to repeat as the overall leaderboard winner of FTOPS IX. Saul earned 500 points by making a pair of final tables to edge Yuval “yuvee04” Bronshtein by 60 points, despite Bronshtein winning back-to-back events in FTOPS IX, a first for the tournament series. For each FTOPS Event, 200 points are awarded to the winner, with incrementally fewer points given to each following position all the way to 72nd place (one point). Saul ranks third on the all-time FTOPS leader board with 759 points, trailing the 915 points of leader KudelyKQ.

One major change in the schedule is Event #22, which has increased from a $2,500 to $5,000 buy-in. The Two-Day event has attracted most of the biggest names in the poker world and should continue that trend this time around. Previous winners include hAAydon (FTOPS IX), Halfrek (FTOPS VIII) and csimmsux (FTOPS VII).
FTOPS X will conclude with the $500 buy-in Main Event with a $2.5 million guaranteed prize pool. FTOPS IX Main Event winner dubbeemin took home $432,400 for his efforts. Other past Main Event champions have included Reverse, fkscreennames, CrazyZachary, John_McClane17, traheho, Spiked, and crownnginger.
On top of the massive prize pools, Full Tilt will be handing out limited edition Full Tilt Poker jackets to all players that reach a final table. Those that win events will receive a gold FTOPS jersey and a gold avatar that will be displayed at the virtual tables. And those unfortunate souls that bubble the money in an event will be entered in a “Bouncebackability” Freeroll. The last players to be eliminated before the money spots in any FTOPS tournament will take part in this tournament, where the prize is a buy-in for the FTOPS X Main Event.
