November is full of poker everywhere, and the November Nine will gather to play until there’s one man standing and the new world champion takes Peter Eastgate’s place. But before that happens Full Tilt Poker will be hosting the FTOPS events 48 hours from now. The added prize pool for these events will be $20 million across a twelve day schedule.
This past weekend was the warm-up tournament that had $250K as the prize pool and thousands of players who wanted in on the action – in fact, forty three thousand of them wanted to take a chunk of the prize pool home with them, but only 7,500 got paid for their efforts. During the first levels of play an average of 2,419 players were busting out of the tournament every ten minutes, which was crazy action in a massive field of players. At the end of the tournament the last man standing was propopl77 for $22,500, the runner-up was TILTOHOLIC for $15,725 and the third place finisher was Aunt Bessie for $11,500.
The FTOPS events will start out with a No Limit Hold’em 6-max tournament on November 4th at 9 pm. The guaranteed prize pool is $1 million, but since all the FTOPS events so far have been extremely successful this series should follow the same steps and have a influx of players that will bump-up most of the guaranteed prize pools. Two tournaments are scheduled for each day and one Full Tilt Poker pro will host each event.
