FTOPS XVII has come to an end, and a champion has been crowned. Mike “chapmoney” Chappus secured two wins during the 34 event series, a truly awesome accomplishment. Chapmoney’s first win came in Event #3, the $322 buy-in 6-max No Limit Holdem 4x Shootout Turbo, netting him $68,040. His second win came later in Event #24, the $216 No Limit Holdem event with over 1,200 players, which earned chapmoney a cool $49,497. This performance gave chapmoney first place for the FTOPS XVII leaderboard.
Other noteworthy results were in Event #29, the $2,100 6-max No Limit Holdem event. This two day event ended up paying the second highest first prize in the series: $417,000 to McLean “pureprofitfour” Karr.
Event #32, the $256 Buy-in 6-max No Limit Holdem, attracted the second largest field for the series of 5,055 players. The very large field was eventually taken down by “DrunkSpirit” who pocketed $193,121 for winning the event.
The series ended with the FTOPS XVII Main Event. Hosted by Mike “The Mouth” Matusow and with a prize pool of $3 million, this event was sure to make an exciting finale to the series. The buy-in of $640 bought a total of 4,805 players to take their shot at winning the series Main Event. After over 15 hours of play there was a deal made during heads up action between “TyboVegas” and “DQnk”. The tournament was won by “TyboVegas” for over $423,000. The final table results were:

Jeremy “JBurleson” Burleson, who managed a ninth place finish in the main event, had also won Event #19, the $535 buy-in for a strong FTOPS showing. Now with FTOPS XVII in the books we are less than three weeks away to kick start the MiniFTOPS series.
