The Full Tilt high stakes tables have been really hot recently, especially with player Isildur1 challenging Red Pros left and right. Yesterday was a session that Patrik Antonius will remember for the rest of his life, as in just 2189 hands he managed to take $2.7 million from Isildur1.
But their epic session also broke the record for largest online pot when Antonius and Isildur1 engaged in a raising battle after seeing the first 4 cards on a board that ran 5h-7h-Qs-Ad. The bets went back and forth until both players had pushed all their chips to the center of the table, for a total pot of $878,959. The river card brought an 8d which gave Antonius the straight and he was declared the winner of the hand.
Isildur1 had been playing Tom “durrrr” Dwan and Patrik Antonius in the past days and had taken over a million dollars from each of them. But at least one of the Red Pros managed to turn things around and win his money back. Keep an eye out though as the two nosebleed stakes players probably aren’t done trading hundred-thousand dollar blows.
Durrrr, who’s amidst a $4 million downswing, can only hope that he too will run hot against Isildur and win some of his money back.
