Full Tilt Pro Phil Ivey is well known for gambling on just about anything, and he is always willing to make extra money on the side with interesting prop bets. Some sportbooks have taken important bets on the red pro to win the main event that will be played out in less than 48 hours form now, and some even fear that Ivey has backed himself with a big bet.
There’s a rumor going around that Ivey could win more money on side bets than by winning the final table. One thing is for sure, he is going to be much richer by a considerable amount after leaving the final table.
Sportbooks started taking wagers on the outcome of the WSOP main event at the beginning of the year at 175:1 and where forced to bring them down to 100:1 by the start of the tournament. All Sportbooks around the world will be supporting the other eight players on the table since they would face a big liability if Ivey wins the tournament.
