Full Tilt Poker Pro Phil Ivey Wins Over $600K

The Full Tilt high stakes tables have been quite busy in the last hours, and a few players managed to take advantage of the downswing that Tom “durrrr” Dwan is having.  The red pro Phil Ivey in combination with Ilari “Ziigmund” Sahamies managed to take around $850K from durrrr at the Pot Limit Omaha tables.  Durrrr has been experiencing a downswing that has been impossible to overcome and this latest session puts him in a tight spot; he might be thinking that he has to step up his game if he doesn’t want to lose four million dollars just like he did at the start of the year.

But durrrr was not the only poker pro who lost a considerable amount: his opponent in the durrrr challenge, Patrik Antonius, recorded a loss that exceeded $280K.  The big winners of the day were: Phil Ivey for $630K, Ziigmund for $500K and Niki Jedlicka for $149K.

In other Full Tilt news, the red pro Phil Ivey will be sitting at the final table of the WSOP Main Event in four days from now, he will be holding the third smallest chip stack at the table.  But poker is a game that involves more than the chips the player is holding, it’s a game of skill, luck and decision-making ability and Ivey has all three.  But his opponents also have a great amount of skill, otherwise they wouldn’t be sitting at the most important final table.

Ivey has the chance to make history by being the only player to win three bracelets in one year on two different occasions, but he will be in an uphill battle against some tough opponents.  On November 7th, players around the world will be watching if Ivey manages the incredible task of overcoming all the obstacles in his way to obtaining the world championship title.
