December was a very good month for some Full Tilt regulars; it’s interesting to see how regulars at the $50/$100 blind level reach profits of up to $1 million per month. The outstanding feat was performed by URnotINdanger2, who has been playing remarkable sessions in the past thirty days which have taken his bankroll into profit margins that would impress anyone.
In his latest session he got tangled in a hand with IvanLendL at the regular limits he plays which are $50/$100. When the smoke cleared there was one winner after the tough battle at the tables, URnotINdanger2 added $48K to his bankroll and that was enough to pass the $1 million profit milestone in just one month of action.
Another player that had a very profitable month was Brian Hastings, even tough his profit for December was made in a controversial manner due to the fact that he shared hand histories with Brian Townsend and Cole South. They all colluded to create a hand history data base about Isildur1. Hastings gave ESPN the interview that leads to Townsend’s suspension for a month from the Full Tilt tables. All the controversy has lead to players taking sides, some believe that Townsend has been cheating and breaking the Full Tilt rules all along and he should be banned from that poker room. Others think that all players share information online and that what the three Red Pros did is something that goes on everyday worldwide. Either way Hastings’ profit for December is just short of $4 million and he has kept the hot streak going at all the games he has played.
It’s too early to tell whether Gus Hansen will go on a hot streak, but he certainly has started the year with different luck. He has won a few hundred thousand dollars so far this year and if he can keep it going, he could overcome the massive downswing he had on ’09.
