Full Tilt Poker Traffic was down during the Weekend

The most important NFL game of the season diverted the attention of many Full Tilt players, which was definitely noticed at the Big Money Sunday tournaments. All the tournaments had a smaller field than usual, but even so only two of the big tournaments had an overlay: the $200K Double Deuce and the $750K guaranteed.

The first big tournament on schedule was the Sunday Brawl which captured the attention of a lot of players and had a prize pool to reach $577K. At the end of the tournament the final three players made a deal: DedoDeGorilla for $83K, losebigpots for $88K and possum808 for $77K.

A very popular tournament each weekend among poker pros is the $200K re-buy event, and last weekend was no exception. There were a total of 639 players registered which bumped up the prize pool to $315K. At the end yurabond ended outplaying the field to take down the $77K first place prize, the runner-up was baseman for $48K and the third place finisher was fkscreennames for $35K.

The first tournament with an overlay was the $200K Double Deuce, the number of players registered for the tournament reached 9,649 but it was not enough to cover the guaranteed prize pool. After all the action untangled, schappuscha was the last person standing for $31K, the runner-up was HANFRY83 for $21K and the third place finisher was 02 obZen 02 for $14K.

Being the biggest guaranteed for the week did not assure the biggest player field, and the $750K event fell short of covering the prize pool by $40K, which Full Tilt put in to compensate. Things started off with 3,542 players fighting for the $132K first place prize. When the tournament reached the heads-up action the tourney was stopped and a deal was reached. The first place prize was taken by pokerNIRVana5 for $111K and his opponent in the heads-up action was Matt “berkey11” Berkey for $102K.
