Full Tilt Poker Weekend recap and Tournaments for today September 21, 2009

The Full Tilt Poker miniFTOPS final events brought in thousands of players that wanted to make big money with the small buy-ins. The player fields were massive and the game was fierce, as all players wanted to make it to the money.

On Saturday a two day No Limit Hold’em 6-max event took place and it attracted 1,901 players, the prize pool was $475K and after hours in front of his computer the last man standing was “mordovororishe”; his bankroll was boosted with $94K. That same day, a Pot Limit Omaha with re-buys started at 3pm and the massive player field of 3,566 increased the prize pool in more than 110%, after the long battle “AJB4” took down the first place prize of $14,201.22.

Sunday was the last day for the miniFTOPS and the first tournament scheduled was a No Limit Hold’em knockout tourney with a tiny buy-in of $12 + $1, which lead to an outstanding field of 19,196 players and the prize pool was bump-up to $191K. The number of players and the level of play had players exiting the tourney at a rate of fifty per minute at one point. At the end, the only player that survived was “Stunnerz”, and his Full Tilt Poker account was increased with $19K for his efforts.

The biggest guaranteed tournament for today will have $75K up for grabs at 8 pm ET.
