Full Tilt Pro Patrik Antonius recently spoke about Isildur1 and expressed a lot of respect for his game, saying that he uses a much different perspective, constantly forcing his opponents to make very tough decisions. Antonius compared Isildur’s style of play to the aggressiveness of Tom “durrrr” Dwan.
Another topic that Antonius talked about was how quickly Isildur1 makes his decisions, stating that he can multi-table vs. Phil Ivey, durrrr, and himself whilst analyzing each table on the fly. Patrik also expressed that he feels more comfortable playing Pot Limit Omaha on four tables at a time as opposed to playing four tables of No Limit Hold’em, which Isildur likes to do. Antonius also says that he has gone through the hand histories after each session with Isildur, which is something he normally doesn’t do for any other player.
Since Isildur1 has demonstrated such talent on the virtual felts, Patrik says that even if Isildur goes broke he is totally capable of building a $2K deposit into a million dollars in just one year. It seems like the poker pros think that Isildur is a young player between 19 and 21 years old who doesn’t have the type of bankroll that Ivey or Patrik has to consistently play nosebleed stakes.
Overall, Patrik has enjoyed the challenge of playing Isildur1. He has been forced to make important decisions in very short time and Isildur1 surely makes the game interesting. Patrik also says that Isildur1 has the potential to become one of the best players in the world, so it looks like Isildur1 could be around for many years if he manages to control his bankroll.
