Isildur1 made his first appearance at Full Tilt Poker in September of 09 and he has kept a low profile ever since. The only thing that is known about him is that he comes from Sweden, that’s it. He jumped into the poker scene and brought a lot of gamble with him to the virtual felts; he’s shown a fearless attitude towards the red pros and high stakes regulars that have been playing poker for quite some time. Others have tried to do the same and have failed, but this time it seems different. Isildur1 has shown that his skill at the tables is top notch and that he can take on anyone and even multi-table against players that are considered some of the best in the world and still come up on top.
Players around the world want to know who he is, but anonymity seems to give him an edge that he or she might want to keep. When someone plays an unknown person in any type of game they are more cautious – they want to try to understand the strategies of their opponent, but in poker that’s almost impossible when they’re constantly adapting.
Isildur1 was up almost $6 million at one point but has since had a downswing and is currently up $4 million. In his last session he faced Phil Ivey, the only player that really gets his style of play, and Ivey took $800K from him. After their session ended Isildur1 started to multi-table against Patrik Antonius, Tom “durrrr” Dwan and Ilari “ziigmund” Sahamies, and he managed to win money from each of them. Isildur1 will probably be playing during the weekend so keep an eye on Full Tilt‘s nosebleed table’s if you’re interested.
