Full Tilt Poker has brought back its popular Gold Rush promotion, the third time it has run it in the past year. It is a fairly simple promo, rewarding players for playing at Rush Poker tables with a chance to win prizes such as cash, Full Tilt Points, and tournament entries.
Starting today and going through November 22nd, anyone who contributes to the pot in a Rush Poker ring game will have a chance to win a prize. Any ring game with two or more full tables counts and is denoted by a Gold Rush icon in the Full Tilt cash game lobby.
Players who are randomly selected to receive a prize will be taken away to a special Gold Rush table at the end of their hand. There, they will be presented with three Gold Rush cards, all face down, and can choose one to reveal a prize. There is a time limit to pick a card, but no worries – if time runs out, a card will just be selected automatically. Nobody who goes to the Gold Rush table will leave empty handed.
Of course, while nobody leaves empty handed, the quality of the prizes varies. The top prize is $25,000 cash, but that is likely quite rare (though Full Tilt does not have any probabilities published). Other prizes, according to Full Tilt’s website, include:
• Rush Ring Game Tickets
• Full Tilt Point bundles
• Coins for “The Deal” game
• Tournament Tickets for the Gold Rush Freerolls
• Tournament Tickets for the $2.5K Gold Rush TT Freerolls
• Tournament Tickets for the Gold Rush Freeroll satellites
• Tournament Tickets for the $2.5K Gold Rush TT Freeroll satellites
Those are all for real money players. Play money players can win play chip bundles.
The Gold Rush Freerolls are of the $1,500 and $2,500 prize pool varieties and are Rush Poker Flipout Tournaments (meaning there is no skill involved). Starting this coming Sunday, there will be one $1,500 Gold Rush Freeroll each Sunday and Tuesday through November 29th, as well as one $2,500 Gold Rush Freeroll each Sunday. These award cash prizes while the “TT Freerolls” award tournament tickets. There is a $2,500 Gold Rush TT Freeroll each Sunday after the regular $2,500 freeroll.
The satellites listed above are nine-handed Flip Tournament Sit-and-Go’s.
Players must manually register for the tournaments using their tickets. The freerolls allow everyone to enter up to ten times, so at least up until a point, multiple tickets won at the Gold Rush tables will not go to waste.
And that’s about. Just play Rush Poker tables and see if you get lucky. Fortunately, for once, nobody has to opt-in or do anything special to participate.
