FullTilt Poker

Full Tilt Poker is enjoying all the attention they have received due to the insane action on their high stakes tables. The newcomers have ignited a hype that media, railbirds and Full Tilt have definitely benefited from. The first wave of enthusiasm was felt when the mysterious screen name martonas appeared and started giving action to the red pros and the high stakes regulars.  Unfortunately for martonas he paid the price for taking on some of the best players in the world and more than $900K in ’09.

September was a big month for Full Tilt as martonas stopped playing but a new screen name appeared at the high stakes tables – Isildur1.  The mysterious man or woman that plays behind the screen name has been playing the red pros and the high stakes regulars in marathon sessions that even Phil Galfond admits he would be unable to do. Despite the shock on forums like pocketfives.com, Isildur1 continues to multi-tabling against the likes of Tom “durrrr” Dwan, Phil Ivey, Patrik Antonius, Cole South, Ilari “ziigmund” Sahamies and other players.  Usually two or three at a time, and he’s still managed to make a considerable amount of money at Full Tilt Poker.

Not all the Full Tilt Pros have run bad against Isildur1, as Phil Ivey has won considerable amounts of money in the sessions he has played with Isildur1.  Patrik Antonius is another FTP pro that has had many sessions against Isildur and has had some big up and downswings.  Patrik and Isildur recently broke the record for the biggest pot in online history when they put $878,959 in the middle.

But Isildur1 has definitely being the nemesis for the recently signed Full Tilt Poker Pro as Tom Dwan has taken a veritable beating.  The consistency in Isildur’s game has marked a milestone that Tom will have to overcome if he wants to win his money back from the new sensation at the high stakes tables at Full Tilt Poker.
