Isildur1 has returned to the Full Tilt Tables, but not to the limits most of the railbirds and fellow players want to see him at. He has made a wise decision after experiencing a terrible downswing. The incredible story of Isildur1 is that he managed to beat most of the Full Tilt Pros and high stakes regulars for millions of dollars, and to lose all of it and more.
Isildur’s style of play was unpredictable and his opponents had to go one step further than they had ever done to be able to try to understand his strategy. Patrik Antonius revealed that he resorted to reviewing hand histories for the first time ever against Isildur.
Isildur represented such a challenge for the high stakes players that they stopped playing NL Hold’em against him. However Isildur craved the action, so he followed the Pros to the Pot Limit Omaha tables, where they took him for his whole roll.
He recently showed up at the PLO tables again, only to lose $216K to Cole South.
A smart strategy for Isildur would be to stay away from PLO and only play his strongest game which is NL Hold’em. If the high stakes regulars want to play him he should enforce certain rules for the sake of his bankroll.
