On today’s Daily Deal, Bernard Lee celebrates his radio show’s third anniversary, Michael Mizrachi finds himself in a tight spot, a former Playmate of the Year graces Poker2Nite’s set, and Tiffany Michelle talks to PND about her WSOP plans.
Hello, I’m Sean Gibson and welcome to the Daily Deal by Poker News Daily, brought to you by PokerSource.com.
In May, the “Bernard Lee Poker Show” is celebrating its third anniversary with a month’s worth of top guests. Lee’s show will feature reigning WPT Champion David Williams, PND columnist and charity powerhouse Annie Duke, and two thousand and five WSOP Main Event champion Joe Hachem. Lee is a sponsored pro of Foxwoods and one of the top media minds in New England, and his poker show can be heard from six to seven Eastern Time on Tuesday nights on several radio stations in Boston as well as on Rounders Radio dot com.
Bad news for a household name in poker: Michael “The Grinder” Mizrachi is facing tax issues and has already had real estate property seized by the U.S. Government. Mizrachi’s tax attorney, Steven Chung, explained, “We are working to resolve his current situation which was caused by the negligence of his previous professional advisors.” According to the HendonMob Database, Mizrachi has seven point one million dollars in tournament earnings in his career.
Straight ahead, Joe Sebok sets the over/under attendance for the WSOP Main Event and Tiffany Michelle talks about reclaiming her title of Last Woman Standing.
On Wednesday night’s installment of the popular poker news show “Poker2Nite,” Victory Poker pro and former Playmate of the Year Sara Underwood spoke of her love affair with poker: “I play online almost every night. I read, I watch, and I get lessons. I’ve been on a fast pace to really learning how to play and dominate.” Underwood recently played in Jennifer Harman’s charity tournament for the National Kidney Foundation.
Poker2Night host Joe Sebok is optimistic regarding this year’s WSOP attendance, and he set the over/under on the Main Event at six thousand, nine hundred and thirty-two players.
One of those in attendance will be Tiffany Michelle, who returns to the WSOP after being away last year to film Amazing Race. Michelle told us she has been playing a lot and that her strategy to make it as deep as she did in two thousand and eight will be to focus on making it through each table. We asked her if she thought Mike Matusow might be running down the street naked this year, which he promised he would do if three women won bracelets. She thinks the poker community’s eyes will be spared: “There are a lot of talented up-and-coming women players… but until women can comprise a larger percentage of the field, you won’t see it.”
