Million Dollar Poker Club Takes Online Poker Market by Storm

There is a new kid on the poker block, and it’s raising dust. MillionDollarPokerClub.com is breaking into the poker industry with an aggressive and original approach and never-before-seen bonuses and promotions.

The team from Playsafe – home to Action Poker, Tiger Gaming and Poker in Canada – has developed a new brand that is making headlines across the industry with its innovative marketing strategy and fresh approach. Since the Playsafe team is aware that there are plenty of very big rooms out there, they have devised a novel approach to try to appeal to poker players.

Playsafe founder Ben Johansen explained their vision when creating MillionDollarPokerClub.com:

Let’s face it, there are hundreds of poker sites out there. In order for a new player like us to effectively compete with these mammoth sites, we needed to find a unique benefit for a specific market segment of heavy players. The Million Dollar Poker Club is designed to do just that.

We start by tripling (players’) deposits then offer them the training, the skill development, and the opportunity to earn a million. The plan is incredibly simple. We commit to satellite our players into more million dollar tournaments than any other site and to hire the best coaches we can find to mentor our players, give them new strategies and hone their skills.

Obviously, we don’t have unlimited advertising budgets like the big guys out there. So we’ve taken a lesson from the art of war and will use the advertising and search engine clout of the big affiliate companies by offering the best of them an unprecedented 100% commission.  Nobody is doing this either.

And so the Million Dollar Poker Club was born, a mix of poker site and poker school with guerrilla marketing tactics. Besides generous sign-up and reload bonuses, the Million Dollar Poker Club has a growing mentoring program for poker players, which includes daily tips, poker strategy articles, and online mentoring with expert poker tutors. Poker News Daily asked Mike McGrath – MDPC’s Director of Marketing – about the “Million Dollar” mentors, and this is what he told us:

We have 16 million-dollar coaches already committed to test and coach our players. As an example, by working with WPT Boot Camp our players are able to receive a week of coaching and play live for $200,000 in prizes for an investment of as little as $0.10. These coaches include the likes of Scotty Nguyen, TJ Cloutier, David Williams, Hoyt Corbin, Bill Edler, Lee Childs, Jan Fischer, Todd Brunson,  Kenna James, Chip Jett, Vanessa Rousso, and Jean Robert Bellande.

Besides this impressive roster of potential tutors, MillionDollarPokerClub.com has reached an agreement with Canadian poker star Daniel Negreanu for special mentoring. Says Johansen: “We have also contracted with Daniel Negreanu’s training company for Daniel to coach 50 of our best players online for a period of 12 months as his protégés.”

The Million Dollar Poker Club is, according to McGrath, “100% customer focused.” This focus on the customer shows on the site’s dedication to offering a $1,000,000 tournament every week – since the site cannot afford to host such large tournaments they are willing to sponsor their players into the biggest ones around, even if they are at a competitor’s site. The site’s philosophy in this respect is: “If we focus on our members and meet their needs, they will visit others but will stay with us. We will always be their home club.” McGrath told Poker News Daily more about the weekly million-dollar tournaments sponsored by their site,

Every week we give our members the chance to play in a free million dollar tournament.  Some weeks we’ll send them to the World Poker Tour, WSOP, EPT, or APPT but other weeks we will send them straight to Party Poker, Poker Stars or Full Tilt and have no qualms doing so.  No-one else sends people to a competitor but we believe this is the best way to give our players 52 million-dollar opportunities.

MillionDollarPokerClub.com offers Texas Hold’em, Omaha, Seven Card Stud, Guts Poker, Chinese Poker, Big2 and Panguingue.
