Poker players at CelebPoker and Mansion Poker will welcome several new payment processors to their arsenal this month. The ability to deposit money on either of these extremely popular online poker rooms just got a lot easier, according to press releases distributed by both companies on Friday.
CelebPoker announced that it will now accept UKash for customers wishing to deposit on its site. Any store that displays PayPoint, payzone, or e-pay signs sells the popular vouchers. Then, customers must hop onto CelebPoker and enter the 19 digit number corresponding to the voucher they received. Outlets that sell UKash are available throughout the United Kingdom, Europe, Asia, and Africa. According to CelebPoker, it does not charge a fee for its customers to use the service.
PayPoint sells UKash in demoniations ranging from £5 to £499. For customers wishing to purchase UKash from payzone, £15, £30, £50, £75, and £100 vouchers are available. For e-pay customers, UKash can be found in £10, £20, £25, £30, £40, £50, £75, and £100 amounts. UKash will join a family of payment methods already available on CelebPoker, including Maestro, Switch, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Delta credit cards. Paysafe is CelebPoker’s existing pre-paid card deposit option and other payment options available to players include Neteller, Moneybookers, Click2Pay, and ClickAndBuy. CelebPoker is a site on the Boss Media Network, which is set to absorb the CryptoLogic Network’s poker rooms during the first quarter of 2009. CryptoLogic’s flagship site is InterPoker and it also runs InterCasino.
Meanwhile, Mansion Poker, which makes its home on Playtech´s iPoker Network, announced the addition of Paysafecard for its German users. Mansion has also added MyCitadel, whose e-wallet was once one of the most popular ones available in the United States. Russian users of Mansion Poker will now be able to take advantage of Moneta, which is available through Envoy. All in all, payment options have increased considerably for members of the site.
Mansion Poker recently changed its cashier so that Spanish and German speaking customers can now navigate the software in their native tongues. In addition, 11 other languages are in the works. The online poker site will be available in Russian by the end of the month and a full Dutch version is also in the works. Mansion’s casino site, Casino.com, will be translated into Swedish and Dutch by the end of February. Mansion also operates MansionCasino.com.
Players on Mansion are gearing up for the February Bonanza next month; many of them will be able to take advantage of the new deposit options. A total of $406,000 in cash will be given out to the top 300 players on a cash game leader board. Also during the month, Mansion will dole out money during every one millionth hand as part of its “Golden Hands Bonus.” A similar promotion occurred on PokerStars in December as part of World Record Week, which generated the largest online poker tournament ever held at 35,000 players.
The entire iPoker Network is gearing up for its $2.5 Million Guaranteed tournament, which is set to occur on March 1st. Satellites are running constantly to the event. Other iPoker sites include Titan Poker, CD Poker, Chili Poker, Nuts Poker, and Expekt Poker. Playtech, the site´s parent company, is traded on the London Stock Exchange under the symbol “PTEC.” The company recently announced a 70% uptick in revenue during the 2008 calendar year in comparison to 2007. Money taken in from the poker network was up 43% in the fourth quarter of 2008 in comparison to the final quarter of 2007.
