Less than one week after being parting ways with the iPoker Network, NoiQPoker has joined the Entraction Network, whose flagship site is Devilfish Poker. Players will officially be moved from iPoker to Entraction by the end of January. NoiQPoker got its start back in 2006.

The site boasts 10,000 players per month, according to a press release distributed by the Entraction Network earlier this week. In it, Karl Buhagiar, the Operations Manager for NoiQPoker, stated, “We made a thorough evaluation of several poker networks before we decided to go with Entraction. The survey we made showed that our players prefer Entraction to other networks, as it offers a faster game and a very stabile poker client. We bring a large number of players with us from iPoker and the fact that they preferred Entraction was a decisive factor for us.”

Other sites on the Entraction Network include Devilfish Poker, 24h Poker, i4 Poker, Bamba Poker, and Pinnacle Sports. The company is listed on the First North marketplace, which is operated by the OMX Nordic Stock Exchange. At the close of business on Friday, Entraction’s stock was trading at SEK 0.65, up SEK 0.01 on the day, or 1.56%. The stock had fallen as low as SEK 0.43 in the middle of July. While its home office is in Solna, Sweden, its support headquarters are located in Estonia and it also has operations in Malta.

Entraction’s online poker sites utilize Cardroom2, a second completely separate interface for players. According to materials available on Entraction’s website, the second card room allows players to hit the felt on the International Poker Network, or IPN. Rakeback and cash back are both available in Cardroom2, which was introduced in 2007 and serves as a compliment to the main Entraction site.

On Sundays, the Entraction Network offers a €25,000 Guaranteed tournament. The €100 buy-in tournament regularly attracts the best players that the collection of online poker rooms has to offer. On the last Sunday of the month, the Network bumps up the guaranteed prize pool to €100,000, competitive with major tournaments on other sites. For that event, the buy-in is raised to €200.

Devilfish Poker is perhaps the Network’s most well-known site. The face of that online poker room is David “Devilfish” Ulliott, a World Series of Poker bracelet winner. Ulliott captured his title during the 1997 tournament series, taking down a $2,000 buy-in Pot Limit Hold’em event for $180,310. In the process, he defeated Chris Truby heads-up. Also at that final table were former WSOP Main Event winner Tom McEvoy, Full Tilt Poker pro Chris Ferguson, and Paul “Eskimo” Clark. Ulliott recently finished third in the Doyle Brunson Five Diamond World Poker Classic on the World Poker Tour for $674,500.

Peter Åström, the CEO of Entraction, commented, “Entraction’s poker network is the world’s fastest growing open poker network and the agreement with NoiQPoker is another proof that Entraction is an attractive network to the largest operators in the industry.” The entire company has about 8,000 shareholders and, according to its website, hosts nearly 900,000 players. Entraction provides software for sports betting, casino games, and Bingo, which it recently just introduced.

NoiQPoker describes the origin of its name: “You actually do not need to be blessed with a high IQ to be the best.” It is owned by Flop Group Limited. The entire changeover to the Entraction Network is scheduled to be completed by January 31st, 2009.
