One of the most prestigious tournaments in the world will be played this upcoming January and it will have AUS $2.5 million on the line. Some of the best poker players in the world have their calendar marked for this yearly event that has the biggest prize pool in the Australian continent.
In 2009 there were a total of eighteen official events and over two thousand players participants. The total prize pools this year added up to more than AUD $13 million. This year’s winner was Party Poker player Stewart Scott, who outplayed the field of 680 players and took a $2 million check home with him.
The Aussie Millions has become a dream tournament for players and Party Poker will be helping those dreams come true by giving away twenty five packages to the Aussie Millions. The packages will include the entry fee to the main event, accommodations at the luxurious Crown Promenade Hotel and transportation expenses that will vary depending on the tournament at which the package was won.
Party Poker will host the two satellite events that will award a total of 25 packages on Sunday December 13th. One of the tournaments will be suited for the Australian and New Zealand based players and it will have five guaranteed seats to the Aussie Millions.
