Party Poker will host the World Open V from October 11th to the 15th. It’s an exclusive event that will only allow 48 players to battle for the prestigious first place prize and the $480,000 prize pool.
The World Open V main event will be televised, and a slew of big names have already confirmed their plans to attend. Mike Sexton, Party Poker pros Ian Frazer, Remy Biechel, Felipe Ramos and Bodo Sbrzesny will all be playing for the first place prize.
Party Poker recently confirmed that Tom “durrrr” Dwan will be assisting the World Open V main event. Dwan is considered among the best poker players in the world. He is currently involved in the “durrrr Challenge” with Full Tilt Poker Pro Patrik Antonius. Dwan has also announced that he is seeking challengers for a “Live durrrr Challenge” that will be held in London while the World Series of Poker Europe is being played. The first high stakes player to take on the challenge will be Sammy “Any Two” George. The second contender is Luke “_FullFlush1_” Schwartz, who has a rivalry with durrrr and has even tried to offend Dwan in past interviews.
