In a press release distributed to members of the media by Party Poker on Thursday, the site gave the very first view of its brand new table look. The new Party Poker is slated to debut next Monday, September 23rd, celebrated by a $50,000 customer freeroll on Saturday and a media freeroll in October. It’s the culmination of thousands of hours put in by Party Poker developers.

The new table look has a much sharper oval feel to it. Each person has a display in front of their user name that shows their avatar and cards (if they are currently still in the hand.) The table is bright green with a Party Poker logo in the center. Players who wish to stick with the old table look will be given the option to do so.

Changes you can expect when the new Party Poker launches include the ability to select your own player photo, which is either an image from Party Poker’s online catalog or one that you have on your own computer. So-called “action buttons” will appear differently, with a large red Fold button, a blue Call button, and a green Raise button. The sliding tool used to increase and decrease the size of your bet is green and has a plus sign on one end and a minus sign on the other.

Above the slider are new options for bet size. They include, from left to right, “Min,” “1/2 Pot,” “3/4 Pot,” “Pot” and “Max,” which means all in if you’re playing No Limit. The software includes a new note-taking interface and the chat area is “easier to read and manage,” according to Party Poker’s blog. Above the chat are buttons for Rebuy and Deposit, making these two accessible without having to navigate to Party Poker’s cashier. The playing cards are easy to read and include oversized numbers and letters. Again, if players aren’t thrilled with the new look, the option remains to stick with the old one.

PartyGaming’s Warren Lush, who has been actively involved in creating the new design, told Poker News Daily, “I am looking forward to revealing more about the product in the coming days and its eventual launch next week.” The online poker room is offering a $10,000 freeroll for media members on Saturday, October 18th at 14:45 ET. In order to be eligible, members of the media must already be real money players on Party Poker and then contact the site with their user name. The tournament is not open to players from the United States.

On Saturday, September 20th, Party Poker is celebrating its new look by giving customers a shot at their slice of a $50,000 freeroll. To qualify, Party Poker members must rack up 100 PartyPoints from now until Friday. There are 8,000 seats to the tournament, which are available on a first-come, first-served basis. As soon as a player accrues 100 points, he or she will be able to register automatically.

Party Poker’s trademark tournament is the $300,000 Guaranteed, held every Sunday at 12:45 ET. It comes with a $215 price tag. Last week, 1,444 entrants descended on the site for the tournament, which awarded $60,000 for first place. The top six finishers pocketed at least $10,000.
