It has been a difficult year for F1 driver Giancarlo Fisichella, who raced all 2008 with the Force India-Mercedes team but was unable to score a point. Earlier in the year, Felipe Massa had an unfortunate accident and had to take some time off the track to rehabilitate his injuries and get back into shape for the upcoming season. Massa’s injury is what led to negotiations between the Force India team and Ferrari.
Ferrari needed an experienced driver and they wanted Fisichella for the job. The Force India team did let go of him and he got a chance to drive for the Scuderia which had always been his dream.
His first race with Ferrari this year was at the Italian Grand Prix; he drove well and finished in ninth position which is just one short of the points. His next two races where not good at all, as he was unable to improve.
Party Poker recently announced that F1 driver Giancarlo Fisichella will be their ambassador for their Italian Poker site. Fisichella is not new to poker, in fact he has shown his skills and aggression are quite evident at the tables. To celebrate the signing of Giancarlo with Party Poker, there will be special freerolls offered only to Italian with €500 added to the prize pool. Fisichella will participate in the freerolls, and all players will get a chance to play against the F1 veteran.
