Predator 006 – Released 09/02/2010
Wait…a leakfinder that isn’t really a leakfinder? It feels more like David Letterman. Predator006 breaks down the top 10 leaks that he sees in PLO 8/b. If you play the game, and want to shore up some easy mistakes, this is the video for you!
Content from the video’s thread as posted by Predator 006 himself:
The problem with raising in EP with classical PLO8 hands is that is what will call you and you will be OOP for the remainder of the hand and it is harder to know where you are at. Also, keep in mind that one of the main reasons that I prefer to raise vs limp in EP is to try to build a pot that I can get a ton of money in postflop if I hit!
M = Chip Count / (SB+BB+Antes)
Example = 1800 / (100+200) = 6
When our M gets around / below 7, it seems to be more optimal to open raise with hands that you may typically just have limped with if you are deeper and/or the blinds are less. A great hand to do this with is a combination hand like A with a wheel and a K or Q. These hands play well on many more flops than one way hands would like a256 or AKJT, etc. Depending on how low I get, I’d open up my opening range to be much wider. This is mostly dependent on my M and the other chip stacks at the table.
