LearnedFromTV – Released 08/26/2010
Introducing one of the most ambitious series ever presented at CardRunners, LearnedFromTV launches an instructional masterpiece on PLO postflop theory. In this, the sixth of 12 parts, he delves deeper into turn play, explaining the situations and nuances of the game!
Here is some advice given by instructor “LearnedFromTV” in the official CardRunners thread for the video:
By “building a range” all I mean is thinking about how your flop range will look at the turn and river and makin g decisions with indiviudal hands that will help create the range you want for turn and river. For example, leading Js9s5h with {sets, top two nut flush draw, KQT*/QT8*} with the right balance means choosing how often to lead each type of hand knowing that – when the board pairs the sets/top two will be your nut hands and the draws will be bluffctachers/thin value or more often air; when the board flushes, your nut flush draws will be your nut hands, your medium flush draws and sets will be bluffatchers or non-nut value, and the missed straight draws will be air.
The idea is that you want to choose flop actions that make turn/river ranges balanced on as many rivers as possible.
