PokerStars likes to reward players for their efforts at the tables with notable prizes at stake in each tournament. One of the most important parts about poker is the players, but poker is a combination of people working together and an important information tool are blogs. Since there area lot of people doing an outstanding job reporting on all the things that are going on at the poker tables and in the poker world, PokerStars wants to reward them with excellent prizes in an exclusive tournament series called the World Blogger Championship of Online Poker (WBCOOP.)
For the 2010 tournament series, PokerStars will be awarding entries to the Spring Championship of Online Poker and tickets to the SCOOP step satellites as well. In addition to the prizes given away for the top places in the different tournaments, PokerStars will also be awarding spot prizes to the top live bloggers and to the top tweeter as well.
The best part of the tournament series is the fact that it is free to enter and only those players that meet the requirements will be given access. In order to receive access PokerStars will evaluate each blog, some of the requirements are frequent updates and blog age of more than two months.
The previous WBCOOP tournament series took place in ’08 and a total of 369 bloggers participated in the main event, PokerStars wants to get a larger field for this upcoming series of events.
